Many may not have heard the name of Tor Miller, a 23 years old indie pop singer from New York City. Knowing he’s from New York City, his roots play a part on his brand image. This enables him to expand and reach out to more audiences from different demographic age. Tor Miller’s song cover has a distinct layout which helps creates his brand; thick black border, self-portrait, and his name and the name of the song with the same font placed on the centre top of the cover.
The simple, white, cursive, slightly tilted font he uses for the typography connotes a diary that is original in its content, which linked to the genre of the music and implies to the audience that his songs tells a story about his experience.
